For care services

Medication at a glance.

Stock, orders and prescriptions – on one iPad per group.

Data stays on the device iPad and iPhone Free during the test phase

What is Inventory?

An app that keeps the medication stock for every client – and tells you in good time what needs to be ordered.

The question

Every client has medication on hand. When will which pack run out, and when does the prescription need to be requested?

The answer

Inventory knows the dosage and the packs. From these it works out how long the stock will last – day by day.

The result

Order in time instead of searching. The request to the practice is already prepared.

Inventory is a planning aid for stock. It does not replace care documentation or a doctor’s prescription.

How it works.

Three steps, then Inventory does the maths.

Scan the pack

Scan the barcode or enter the medication.

Set the dosage

Inventory works out how long the stock will last.

Order in time

The prescription request to the practice is already prepared.

What makes Inventory different.

Scanning

One scan. Everything recorded.

Inventory reads the code on the pack and takes the PZN (German product number), expiry date and serial number in one go. If the same pack has already been booked, Inventory tells you straight away.

Stock

First to expire, first to go.

Every pack keeps its own expiry date. Inventory uses up the oldest one first in its calculation – and doesn’t count expired packs as stock. So “lasts until” really is right.

Planning

Know today what you’ll be short of next month.

For the month or the whole quarter: Inventory works out what you need and rounds up to whole packs. Before Easter and Christmas it reminds you to order earlier.

Prescription request

One email per practice. Already written.

All clients and medication for one practice go into one request. You open it in Outlook, check it and send it – after that everything is marked “ordered”.

BfArM

Only the notices that concern you.

Inventory matches the notices of the BfArM, Germany’s Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, against your medication: supply shortages by PZN, Red-Hand Letters by medication name. No searching through long lists.

Questions.

What does Inventory cost?

Nothing during the test phase.

Where is the data kept?

Encrypted on the care service’s iPad or iPhone. There is no server and no cloud.

Can several carers share one device?

Yes. Everyone signs in with their own name. Roles decide who may do what.

What happens if the iPad is lost?

Without signing in, the data can’t be read. Everything can be restored on a new device from an encrypted backup.

Which devices do I need?

An iPad or iPhone with iOS 26. For prescription requests by email, Microsoft Outlook as well.

Inventory is currently being tried out with care staff in Germany. We review every request individually and get back to you within 5 working days. Once approved, the TestFlight invitation comes from Apple. The app itself is in German.
